One more unique tendency characteristic for South Africa is acceptance of VoIP technology, which has gained great popularity in telecom industry and provided competition to fixed-line services. VoIP sector is granted by great investments and its capabilities are constantly researched. Mobile TV is another service to be developed in South Africa in the following years. Broadband market is monopolised by Telkom SA for the present moment, due to its unique ownership of infrastructure.
